Letter to my Little Child – Ridwan Adeniran

Do not envy, for not all fabrics fit for all.

Little child, envy no man while you live in life

In life, you will see men walk streets

In best clean and neat garments

Do not envy, for not all fabrics fit for all.

Little child, envy no man while you live in life

In life, you will see men who walk in flourishing land,

Orchards of fruits and gardens of flowers with appealing fragrance

Do not envy, for arid land might be at the next corner.

Little child, envy no man while you live in life

In life, you will see men who live in mansions,

Toy with expensive cars, tour beautiful places and spaces

Do not envy, for true happiness is not measured in properties and vanities.

Little child, envy no man while you live in life

In life, everyone lives and leaves life at appropriate time

Everyone’s life have its customised clock.

Do not envy, for you are you and only you.
