African countries are siding China in the ongoing US China trade war

Truly Africa needs technology. The continent just wants to get online.


A squabble has been started for some months between two major financial prudence United States and China about trade war. Observers verified that Africa became geopolitical combat between them and sat it as neutral.

China became telecommunication giant and Huawei touched a nerve which is banned by United States recently. Donald Trump directed Google not to sell technology to Huawei. He tried to cripple Huawei’s market.

Through sanctions, China as well as African technology and communication would also suffer as well.

Since 2008, Uganda has been implemented approximately 2,400 km of optical fibre cable its National Data Backbone Infrastructure project which was connected to several towns. The project supported through a $107m concessional loan by Huawei from China. The major concern of the project in Uganda was to low down the cost of transporting internet bandwidth with 5G from East African coast and high speed connectivity. 

Reports stated that American interference geared African communication infrastructure. Addis, Nairobi and Kigali innovation centres were also affected by Washington erratic and punitive behavior.

In addition to that, E-Commerce giant Alibaba’s Jack Ma made easy trade, China has deep roots in Africa. It improved entrepreneurship in the world.
